In this video we teach you how to lock the Nest Thermostat. When you lock the Nest Thermostat you can prevent unauthorized use and either set a range of temperatures that can be used for the thermostat or you can set the thermostat to maintain one temperature.
It’s a great option for Nest Thermostats that are located in a public space like an office, or retail building and can prevent tampering with the nest.
To lock the Nest Thermostat you go to the settings menu and scroll over to “Lock” click on the lock icon and you can then create a 4 digit code. Then click enter.
Once the code is created you can either choose a temperature range or a specific temperature that you would like the Nest Thermostat To Hold.
