The #NestSecure security system is Google’s latest venture into DIY home security. Unlike most security systems out there, Nest Secure only has a few parts, and offers some great features.

The most important part of the Nest system is the Nest Guard- it’s a base station, alarm, keypad, and motion sensor rolled into one stark white package. It’s where you’ll arm and disarm your system, either using a passcode or by waving one of your Nest tags.
The Nest Detect Sensors are the equivalent of door/window and motion sensors, while the Nest Tags allow you to tap in and out of your security system. Think of them as keys that you can set to work at specific times.
There are a few awesome features the #NestSecure has which a lot of systems lack. For example, if you are walking around at night, the Nest Detect Sensors will automatically light up for you. It’s not every security system that’s so chivalrous!
